Vision
This interior design project seeks to create relationships between late 19th-century British architecture and the one we can see when visiting Stockholm.
The family that lives in this stunning Highgate house is Swedish, and they desired to live in an ambiance that could remind them of 'back home'.
Nordic minimalist Mid-Century furniture, and the curvaceous shapes and warm wooden shades of a few Swedish Sekelskifte (Turn of the Century) pieces were selected to appeal to soothing memories and evoke nostalgia.
Complemented by a Swedish Gustavian palette of subdued greens and indigos, the mood both supremely harmonises with the gentle British vegetation and architectural landscape, and is reminiscent of the grey and icy-blue shades of the Scandinavian winter sky at dusk.
